Het Kuipke - Sportpaleis Gent is an event hall in Citadelpark in Ghent , which is best known for hosting the six-day race there , but is also used for concerts and other events.

Het Kuipke was originally built as a flower exhibition and festival hall "Floraliënpaleis" for the 1913 World Exhibition . The first six-day race took place in 1922 on a demountable cycling track that was 210 meters long. In 1927 a new, permanently installed track with a length of 160 meters was installed. Because of the steep curves, the hall was named "Kuipke" (Dutch = small tub).

In November 1962 the hall was almost completely destroyed in a fire. The current hall dates from 1965, the track is 166.66 meters long. There is space for around 3,000 spectators at bike races. There are plans to completely renovate the Kuipke in 2013. The 2006 six-day race in Kuipke was overshadowed by the fatal fall of the Spaniard Isaac Gálvez on the velodrome.

The Stalen Ros Gent , an exchange for historical and used bicycles, takes place regularly in the Kuipke .

The 73rd Omloop Het Nieuwsblad is scheduled to start in Kuipke in 2019 .
