Kulli (Pakistan)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kulli is an archaeological dig site in Kolwa (western Baluchistan , Pakistan ). Here Aurel Stein excavated parts of a Bronze Age village. It is the eponymous site of the Kulli culture (around 2600 to 2000 BC). During the excavations, mainly ceramics were found, which with very few exceptions can only be assigned to the Kulli culture. In addition to the ceramics, there were 66 clay figures of cattle and five figures of a mother goddess. A metal needle shows that metal has been processed.
