Kulthum ibn Hadam (also: Kulthum ibn Hidn ) was a resident of the city of Medina (in today's Saudi Arabia ) during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad . He was blind and was considered very hospitable. When the Prophet came to the city of Medina after his flight ( hijra ) from Mecca , he was accepted into the house of Kulthum ibn Hadam.
