Art Prize of the State Capital Düsseldorf
The Art Prize of the State Capital Düsseldorf is an award that is given annually to a visual artist whose work is "trend-setting for the development of contemporary art".
The art prize was first presented in 2006 on the occasion of the 1st Düsseldorf Quadrennial and has been awarded every two years since 2008. It is endowed with 55,000 euros and is therefore one of the most important awards for contemporary art in Germany.
