Kuntz Electroplating (KEI) is a Canadian company based in Kitchener, Ontario . Founded in 1948 by Oscar Kuntz, the company is one of the largest electroplating companies in North America. Kuntz chrome-plated components for the automotive and motorcycle industries (especially Harley-Davidson ).

From 1978 to 1990 the company was majority owned by Magna . In the 1990s, Kuntz expanded strongly into the chrome plating of aluminum wheels. In 1998, an average of 3,800 steel wheels, 1,400 aluminum wheels and just under 4,000 bumpers were chrome-plated every day. At the end of the 1990s, employment reached its peak with over 1,200 employees. In the 2000s there was a sharp decline in wheel production, and the former main customer Ube Industries closed its plant in Sarnia. Among other things, Kuntz got involved in the production of truck running boards. After a German company ceased operations, Kuntz was able to take over a large part of the European production of chrome-plated aluminum wheels for luxury cars.
