Kurepalu

Kurepalu is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the Estonian rural community Kastre (until 2017 Haaslava ) in Tartu County .
Kurepalu is the administrative center of the rural municipality of Kastre, which was formed in 2017. Before that, Kurepalu was the administrative center of the meanwhile dissolved rural community Haaslava ( Haaslava vald ). The village has 147 inhabitants (as of 2009). The place is one kilometer southeast of the former Haaslava manor (German Haselau ).
The Estonian writer Leida Kibuvits (1907–1976) comes from Kurepalu .
