Kastre is a rural municipality in the Estonian county of Tartu with an area of 472 km². It has 5037 inhabitants (as of 2017). It was created in 2017 from the merger of the rural communities Haaslava , Mäksa and Võnnu .
In addition to the main town of Kurepalu (147 inhabitants), the rural community includes the villages of Aadami, Aardla, Aardlapalu, Agali, Ahunapalu, Alaküla, Aruaia, Haaslava, Hammaste, Igevere, Ignase, Imste, Issaku, Kaagvere, Kaarlimõisa, Kannu, Kasteela, Kiteivküla , Koke, Kõnnu, Kriimani, Kurista, Lääniste, Lange, Liispõllu, Mäksa, Mäletjärve, Melliste, Metsanurga, Mõra, Päkste, Paluküla, Poka, Roiu, Rookse, Sarakuste, Sudaste, Tammõevaldma, Teriküra, Tigase, -Kastre, Veskimäe, Võnnu, Võõpste and Võruküla.
