Electoral Hesse collection of laws

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kurhessische Gesetzessammlung is the generic term for

  • the collection of laws, ordinances, notices and other general orders for the states of the Electorate of Hesse. from 1813 to 1819 and
  • the collection of laws, ordinances, invitations to tender and other general orders for the Electorate of Hesse from 1820 to 1866 (but mostly in short: collection of laws etc. for the Electorate of Hesse, abbreviated: collection of laws).

It summarizes the laws and ordinances as well as similar provisions of the Electorate of Hesse , which the government and administration considered to be relevant to the public and published. Only a few provisions are still in force today. There was no official way of quoting. Later, especially after the annexation by Prussia , the citation method for the Prussian collection of laws was often adopted (title of the law with the date on which the regulation was issued, later also the date of publication and then the indication GS and the page number in brackets).

On December 31, 1866, the paper that existed for the former Electorate of Hesse ceased to appear . The successor to the law gazette in the new Prussian province was the official gazette for Hesse .
