Kurt Wernbacher
Kurt Wernbacher is a former Austrian functionary and active in ice stock sport , editor and book author.
Life
The native of Styria from Wernbach took part as an active participant in world and European ice stock sport championships . Wernbacher has been practicing this sport since childhood, which is a popular sport in his home country Austria . After finishing his active career, he took on various functions as a functionary , for example he worked for 10 years as a press officer at the Austrian Ice Stock Association (BÖE). Following this activity, he became editor of the specialist magazine Eisschützen Rundschau . Wernbacher appeared as a book author in 1995 when he brought out a textbook on stock sports with the title Winning in Ice and Stock Sports.
Wernbacher is an internationally recognized expert in ice stock sport.
Styria Cup
Wernbacher is considered to be the founding father of the Styria Cup , the largest international curling tournament.
