Short course

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A short course is a shortened golf course . Usually the fairways are between 50 and 100 meters long and have par 3 holes. Short courses do not meet the criteria for an official rating, so they cannot be used to play tournaments that are relevant to the rules. They are used for training purposes. Longer short courses with par 4 fairways are usually operated as full-fledged golf courses and accordingly have official course rating and slope values.
