Lá Nua ( de : New Day ) was an Irish-language daily newspaper. It was the first newspaper to write its articles entirely in Irish. Lá Nua was part of the Belfast Media Group .

In the 1980s, the newspaper became a widely consumed medium, resulting in an increase in the size of the page. The newspaper also had an active website and had a circulation of several thousand copies.

Lá Nua had five editors: Gearóid Ó Cairealláin and Eoghan Ó Néill, Ciarán Ó Pronntaigh, Concubhar Ó Liatháin and finally Dónall Mac Giolla Chóill.

The end of the year was announced in October 2008 and the last edition of Lá Nua appeared on December 19, 2008.
