Läkartidningen ( German : Doctors' newspaper ) is a Swedish magazine that is published weekly in Läkartidningen Förlag in Stockholm as an organ of Sveriges läkarförbund (SLF), the trade union and professional organization of the medical profession in Sweden . The magazine was founded in 1904 as Allmänna svenska läkartidningen , appeared from 1920 to 1964 as Svenska läkartidningen and since then under the name Läkartidningen . The edition is 42,600 copies (2019).

The magazine focuses on news and debates related to health care and professional ethics. In addition, comments, summaries of specialist articles in other journals and scientific articles that have been peer-reviewed are published. The journal is indexed in Medline .
