Die Lëtzebuerger Studenten zu Zürech (LSZ) asbl (German Luxembourg students in Zurich ; French Étudiants Luxembourgeois à Zurich asbl) is a student association founded in 1930 under Luxembourg law. The primary aim of the association is to represent the interests and exchange of all Luxembourg students who are enrolled at Zurich universities. Like most Luxembourg student associations, the LSZ is subordinate to the Association des cercles d'étudiants luxembourgeois (ACEL). The association has around a hundred members. The LSZ is best known as the organizer of the "Zürcher Bal", which has been held every year on Christmas Day , December 25th, since 1961 .

The LSZ is represented every year at the Luxembourg Foire de l'Étudiant, where schoolchildren can find out about studying and living in Zurich. For all Luxembourg students in Zurich, the association's board is available to answer any questions, from looking for an apartment to insurance issues.

Some of the recurring activities are the ski weekend, the club trip and the "Soirée Patriotique Luxembourgeoise" gala evening, which annually commemorates the ETH professors who took in Jewish students during the Second World War . In addition, every year Luxembourg students from all over Switzerland meet with the ambassador in Bern on Luxembourg's national holiday.

Zurich Bal

Student ball organized in Luxembourg since 1960, which has grown over the years to become the largest in Luxembourg. The event now has over 4000 guests. Initially still in the Parc Hotel, the evening after a transitional phase in Luxembourg's largest concert hall Rockhal now takes place in the Luxexpo exhibition hall. Since the ball takes place immediately after the end of the semester, it is the first opportunity for many Luxembourgers studying abroad to meet again.

In 2016, the LSZ donated part of the proceeds to various organizations including the Unity Foundation for the first time.
