Lü (Houshao)

Empress Lǚ ( Chinese  呂 皇后  /  吕 皇后 , Pinyin Lǚ Huánghòu ) was the wife of the Han Emperor Houshao . She was the daughter of Lü Chan (呂 產), a great-nephew of the empress mother Lü Zhi , who lived in the 80s of the 2nd century BC. The Chinese government ruled. When the Empress Mother in 180 BC Fell ill, she commissioned Lü Lu (呂 祿) and Lü Chan with the reign of the underage emperor and married her great-great-niece to the emperor. After the death of the empress mother, her clan was overthrown and the emperor was executed. The further fate of Empress Lü is unknown. It is possible that she also perished in the turmoil of the coup.
