Lý Sơn is a district in the Vietnamese province of Quảng Ngãi .
Lý Sơn consists of the islands Lớn, Bé and Mù Cu, which are about 30 km off the mainland in the South China Sea ; their total area is almost 10 km². In total, about 20,000 people live on the islands, who make a living from fishing, seafood and growing garlic. The islands are also called "Vương quốc tỏi" (Kingdom of Garlic).
The islands are of volcanic origin, volcanism is still active today.
On the island of Đảo Lớn there are two villages, An Hải and An Vĩnh, on the island of Đảo Bé to the north there is the village of An Bình. Đảo Mù is uninhabited.
The temple "Chùa Hang" (Hang Pagoda) is located in a cave by the sea.
