The 2005/06 season of the German Water Polo League began on November 5, 2005 with the main round and ended with SV Cannstatt winning the championship in the final over the defending champion and record champion Wasserfreunde Spandau 04 . After the eleven-time old master SC Rote Erde Hamm , the new master Cannstatt also withdrew his team from the Bundesliga for financial reasons.
