Moritz Oeler

Moritz Oeler (born October 21, 1985 in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse ) is a German water polo player . Oeler was the top scorer in the 2007/08 Bundesliga season with 81 goals and was voted water polo player of the year.

Oeler started his career at the Neustadt swimming club . The 1.88 m tall attacking player became German champion in 2006 with SV Cannstatt . After the Cannstatter withdrew from the Bundesliga, Oeler moved to the German record champions Wasserfreunde Spandau 04 , with whom he won a large number of German championships and cup wins. In 2017 he moved to Switzerland to SC Horgen .

Oeler finished eighth with the German national team at the 2007 World Cup and finished sixth at the 2008 European Championship. In 2016 he ended his national team career.
