Federación Latinoamericana de Periodistas

The Federación Latinoamericana de Periodistas (Felap), founded on June 7, 1976 and based in Mexico City , is a professional association of journalists in Latin America and the Caribbean . There are more than 80,000 members.

The Comisión de Investigación de Atentados a Periodistas (CIAP) was created in 1991 as an instance of Felap and the International Federation of Journalists (FIJ) to ensure the security of its members.

The association publishes their articles on the website of the Voltaire network, among other places .
