L'Enseignement mathématique

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

L'Enseignement mathématique is a journal for mathematics and mathematics didactics. It was founded in 1899 by Henri Fehr from Geneva (editor until his death in 1954, associated with the University of Geneva from this time) and Charles-Ange Laisant (replaced as editor in 1930 by Adolphe Bühl ) from Paris and is the official organ of the International Commission on Mathematical Instruction (ICMI). It appears every six months.

In spite of the name, there are (today) fewer articles on mathematics education than overview articles on mathematics, mathematical research articles and articles on the history of mathematics.

They have been published by the European Mathematical Society since Volume 60 (2015) .

Contributions that are more than five years old are accessible online. The articles appear in English or French.

The ISSN is 2309-4672.
