The Lietuvos elektros skirstomųjų tinklų operatorius AB briefly LESTO was a Lithuanian power company based in Vilnius . Until its dissolution in 2015, it was the largest (by number of employees) Lithuanian energy company.

history

LESTO was created in December 2010 from the two Lithuanian energy companies AB " Vakarų skirstomieji tinklai " and " Rytų skirstomieji tinklai ". The assets were 5.3 mlrd. Lt (1.535 billion euros). The shareholders included UAB “ Visagino atominė elektrinė ” with 82.63% shares and E.ON Ruhrgas International GmbH with 11.76% shares. In 2015, the company was dissolved and transferred to the newly created stock company Energijos skirstymo operatorius .
