LUnix is short for "little Unix". This "little Unix " is a free operating system for the Commodore 64 or - in a special version - the Commodore 128 . It is distributed as free software under the GNU General Public License (GPL) .
LUnix has capabilities such as limited preemptive multitasking , limited network and Internet capabilities.
Current version is 0.21, released in September 2004.
