La Misma Gente (rock band)
La Misma Gente is a Venezuelan rock band that was formed in San Antonio de los Altos in 1977 and is still active thirty years later. In Colombia there was another band of the same name that played Latin American dance music and existed for over 25 years.
The Venezuelan band La Misma Gente was founded by Pedro Vicente Lizardo and his brother Humberto Enrique Lizardo. They are sons of the poet Pedro Francisco Lizardo. Pedro Vicente Lizardo took on the role of singer, lyricist and guitarist in the group, his brother that of bassist. There were also Victor González on drums, Pedro Galindo as composer, singer and saxophonist, Mario Bresanutti on piano, singer and composer and Ricardo Ramírez on flute.
The Lizardo brothers had previously played with Los Barracudas in the 1960s and with Apocalipsis in the 1970s. The drummer came from Sky White Meditation.
