La Prensa (Panama City)

La Prensa is a Spanish-language daily newspaper from Panama City . It was founded in 1980 by Roberto Eisenmann on his return from exile in the United States. Their circulation is 65,000 copies (2010).

Eisenmann's goal was to establish a newspaper that is free from state influence. In order to guarantee the independence of La Prensa , the management is with a nine-member board, which is elected by the shareholders of the newspaper.
