The labyrinth under the herb market in Brno was explored in 2011 together with the Münzmeisterkeller on Dominikanerplatz (Czech: Dominikánské náměstí). Both vaults and the ossuary under St. Jacob's Church are now open to the public.

history

The spacious labyrinth consists of underground corridors, passages, tunnels, crypts and cellars on several floors, which were gradually built on the historic herb market (Zelný trh) from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. The cellar rooms, which are 6–8 m below the floor, are used for exhibitions on the history of the city of Brno and its inhabitants (e.g. trade, viticulture, alchemy , storage, lighting) as well as for presentations, receptions and concerts.
