Storage card

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A storage compartment card or storage index card is part of the process organization in warehousing .

The storage compartment card is used to record changes in stocks . Each goods turnover , i.e. the issues and receipts, is entered on this card so that the current inventory can be determined on the basis of it. The storage compartment card is only useful if everyone enters the movement of goods ( cargo handling ).

The following information is usually found on a warehouse card:

  • Description of goods
  • Stock, minimum stock, reorder level (order point) and maximum stock
  • Storage place
  • Entrances and exits
  • item number
  • Unit price
  • supplier
  • Inventory inventory
  • Differential inventory (if any) after inventory
  • Visa (to see who entered what and when)
  • date

The warehouse card is not used very often nowadays, mostly the stocks of the articles are controlled by EDP with the ERP system .
