The Laguna Beach High School is a public high school in Laguna Beach in the US state of California . The school was founded in 1934 and currently has 1,000 students. The school colors are brown and white and the sports teams are called "breakers".
history
Laguna Beach High School opened on September 11, 1934 and started operating with 157 students. The following year, they moved into new premises on Park Avenue, where the school is still located today. The number of students rose continuously in the period that followed. Additional buildings were added in the 1950s and 1960s. The high school underwent several renovations between 1993 and 2005.
In art and media
The school gained worldwide fame through the reality series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County . The series, produced by MTV , is about local teenagers attending the final class at LBHS. Some of the students portrayed, such as Lauren Conrad , Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti, have achieved some notoriety in the media as a result.
