Lake Condah

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the Lake Condah area , the Church of England established an Aboriginal Mission in 1867 . It was operated by her and partly by the Aboriginal Protection Board until 1919 . It was closed when the Victoria government took it over. At times the Gunditjmara were in this mission station, who were housed in the Framlingham mission station when it was closed. Numerous Aborigines continued to live in this area until the 1950s and had to leave it because the military needed this area for their purposes.
