Lake Garawongera is a small freshwater lake on Fraser Island in Queensland , Australia . Lake Garawongera is located in a wooded dune area. The small lake is surrounded by a wide sandy beach and its bottom is reddish in color. The so-called Fraser Island Great Walk leads past Lake Garawongera, which begins in the nearby Happy Valley and ends at Dilli Village . The lake can also be reached by four-wheel drive vehicles on Lake Garawongera Scenic Drive . There are six campsites near the lake.
