The Lambertus publishing house is a German publishing house in the field of social reference books as well as books and loose-leaf collections for social law and ecclesiastical labor law - such as the AVR Caritas , Freiburg comment for employee representation order in the Caritas (incl. KAGO) (MAVO) and the practice commentary on Labor law in Caritas.

history

The publishing house began in November 1897. At the founding meeting of the German Caritas Association (DCV) , the founder of the DCV prelate Lorenz Werthmann proclaimed that “more should be published, studied and more organized” in Charitas. From the year 1898 the "Verlag des Charitasverbandes für das Catholic Deutschland" or "Charitasverlag" for short is proven. The name Lambertus Verlag, which is still valid today and refers to St. Lambertus as one of the patrons of the city of Freiburg im Breisgau , was the result of a competition among employees in 1951.
