The intermediate lamellae in leaf mushrooms are called lamellae . They are located between the actual slats , can be of different lengths, but never reach the stem. If a mushroom has lamellets in addition to the lamellae, then one also speaks of mixed-in lamellae . Lamellula , in the plural lamellulae , is the Latin name for a lamellette or intermediate lamella .
