The State Office for Finance Rhineland-Palatinate (LfF) is the central salary and supply point for the state of Rhineland-Palatinate , in which all work related to the salary, remuneration, remuneration and care of state employees is carried out.

History of origin

Until 1968, all state authorities in Rhineland-Palatinate were responsible for paying their employees. On June 10, 1968, a central salary and supply office (ZBV) was set up at the Koblenz regional finance office. In addition to uniform application of the law, this should also achieve rationalization.

In the period from 1977 to 1995 inclusive, the ZBV was also responsible for the central accounting and reimbursement of federal child benefit for all public service employees in Rhineland-Palatinate. A separate subsidy unit had been set up in 1992 and was responsible for setting the subsidies for all state employees. Most recently, on January 1, 2000, the aid agencies of the three district governments in Trier , Neustadt an der Weinstrasse and Koblenz were added. Since January 17, 2000, the authority resided closed at Hoevelstrasse 10 in Koblenz.

As of October 1, 2012, the ZBV was also responsible for billing travel expenses and billing separation allowances and relocation costs for the entire state administration. On September 1, 2014, the ZBV was dissolved. At the same time, the LfF was set up on September 1, 2014, into which the previous central salary and supply department of the Oberfinanzdirektion Koblenz and the reparation office in Saarburg were incorporated.

Jurisdiction

The responsibility of the LfF is regulated in a competency ordinance. This regulation also regulates a number of additional tasks that are related to or linked to the original main task. This includes, among other things, the provision of information to the family courts and the assertion of claims for damages from transferred law. The President of the LfF also administers the financing fund for the civil servants' supply for the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
