State party leader

A national party leader is the party leader an Austrian political party at the level of a federal state , with ÖVP and FPÖ state party chairman in SPO and KPO state party chairman , as well as the Greens and the NEOS landing spokesman called. If the context is clear, one often speaks briefly of the regional chairman or regional chairman , although these terms are also used by other associations.

Provincial chairmen preside over the state party congress , in the state party leadership , in the state party executive committee and in the state party presidency . They represent the party externally, as well as in all matters that are not covered by special area spokesmen.

The state party chairman convenes regular state party conferences; he is responsible for preparing the meetings of the state party executive board and implementing its resolutions. He is also responsible for overseeing all party activities. He can therefore issue instructions to all members, functionaries and employees of the state party within the framework of the resolutions of the state party leadership, the state party executive committee and the state party presidium and, in the event of imminent danger, take provisional measures that require immediate confirmation by the state party leadership or the state party executive committee.

He is also responsible for taking on employees, especially the state manager, in agreement with the state party executive.
