Country house Oms

The Landhaus Oms is a residential building in the Hessian community Schlangenbad . It was built around 1930 as a brick building in the early modern style. The client was Otto Mohr , the founder and owner of the company OMS Kläranlagen in Schierstein . Mohr chose a hillside location on the northern side of the Upper Kurpark as the location .

The architect in charge placed a single-storey symmetrical building on a base made of light natural stone. Towards the spa gardens, a semicircular round opens the living rooms, for which the base serves as a terrace. While the living level is accessible via the Omsstraße leading up the slope, the functional rooms in the basement are accessed via an avenue of birch trees.
