The Landolinshof at Landolinsplatz 1 in Esslingen am Neckar is a listed villa.

history

The house was built in 1846 for the judicial procurator Georgii, a partner in the Sektkellerei Kessler , who was the father of Theodor Georgii . It later became the property of Fritz Müller , who had it converted by Albert Benz in 1905/06 .

Benz provided the classicist old building, which stands along Landolinsplatz, with a two-storey extension facing Landolinsteige. In contrast to the old building, this neo-classical extension, which was connected at right angles, received a flat roof . In order to create a harmonious connection, the cornice below the windows on the upper floor was also continued in the extension. The facades were designed in a sophisticated way with ornamented plaster fields and palmette friezes as well as pilaster structures and arched window panes.

In the Landolinshof, coffered ceilings, paneling, stucco elements and colored window glazing have been preserved. The wrought iron garden fence has also been preserved in its original form.
