The landscape protection area Victorburer and Georgsfelder Moor is a landscape protection area in the district of Aurich in the state of Lower Saxony . The area is largely in the area of ​​the municipality of Südbrookmerland and, with smaller areas, also in the area of ​​the city of Aurich in East Frisia . In total, it is 3.81 square kilometers. The area was designated as a landscape protection area (LSG) in 1965. The purpose of protection is to preserve the communities that are dependent on the specific type of landscape and to protect them from disturbance.

Description of the area

The Victorburer and Georgsfelder Moor nature reserve consists largely of degenerated residual moor areas with extensive and intensive use of grassland. Sometimes it is parceled out very small, some areas are damp and wet and there are individual swamp areas. There are also peat pots and some strips of wood. The area is mainly accessed by unpaved roads with accompanying flora. The flora partly tends to be dry.
