Lap dance (from the English "lap dance" for "dance on the lap") is an established form of erotic dance in night clubs , in which sexually dressed women and men dance between the legs or on the laps of guests.

In lap dancing, the dancer dances between the legs of the seated guest or sits on his lap to move to the music or to imitate sexual intercourse in a sitting position. A certain amount of physical contact between dancer and guest is possible, but most of the time the guest is strictly forbidden to touch.
