Lapre

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lapre was an electronics band from Berlin that was founded in 1983 and belonged to the second generation of Berlin school .

history

Peter Preuß (born June 13, 1959 in Berlin; guitar / keyboard / vocals) and the electronics engineer Rudolf Langer (born 1963 in Marktredwitz / Upper Franconia; keyboard; synthesizer) were the two founding members. Their music was instrumental and ranged from synth pop with catchy melodies to experimental sound collages. In the next few years the first two MCs Tedan 1983 and Flokati 1984 followed. MC Gomorrha followed in 1984 and the maxi single Oeso 1985 on their own label.

After performing live and collaborating with other musicians such as Berlin Cassette, Sampler EKG and Sampler Berliner Elektroniknacht, it came to her last studio work with singing, which resulted in the CD Frightnight in 1988. Guest musicians were Wolfgang Albers (keyboard), S. Zorn (keyboard), J. Gesche (guitar) and M. Bonin (vocals).

In 1988 Preuss and Langer separated.

In 2018 the LP and CD Resurrection with extracts from the old productions were released by Bureau B.
