The lative (from the Latin latus “carried”, “brought”) is an adverbial case in Finno-Ugric and Northeast Caucasian languages ​​that expresses a place where something goes.

In Finnish , the lative has the ending -s or - (none). Plural forms are not used. z. B. ala s = "downwards" or taa = "backwards".
