The Laung Bwann Brauk Pagoda is a Buddhist stupa in Mrauk U , Myanmar . It was built in 1525 under King Min Khaung Raza and renovated in 1625 by King Thiri Thudhamma .

description

The massive octagonal stupa initially tapers upwards in eight equally high and wide steps, then a significantly higher structure follows, on which five equally high, tapering steps sit. This is followed by the stylized lotus, turned downwards, the pearl necklace and the upturned lotus, finally the stylized banana bud and an Hti - all elements are octagonal.
On the lowest step there are richly decorated niches at the corners and in the middle of each side, each with a Buddha image.
