Le Trianon
Le Trianon is a concert and theater hall in the district of Pigalle in the 18th arrondissement in Paris . The facade was inspired by the Versailles summer palace Grand Trianon . The hall can accommodate 1,091 spectators.
history
The theater was opened in 1895 at location 80, Boulevard de Rochechouart. It established itself as a revue stage, later operettas and dance events were added. In 1900 a fire destroyed the entire interior building, and in 1902 it was reopened. The architect Joseph Cassien-Bernard designed an Italian theater hall with two tiers.
In 1939 the hall was rededicated as a cinema. In 1982 the theater was declared a monument historique . In 1992 the cinema closed and the hall began to be used regularly for concerts.
