Food chemists day

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Food Chemists Day is the annual meeting of food chemists in Germany. It is organized by the Food Chemical Society (LChG), the largest specialist group of the Society of German Chemists (GDCh).

The first German Food Chemists' Day took place in Braunschweig in 1972. The aim was to present the different working groups of the LChG and thus to enable better public relations. The food chemist's day has been held annually since then. For several years now, the focus has also been on closer cooperation between food chemistry and veterinary medicine.
