Environmentally oriented rooms

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lifeworld oriented rooms ( LOR ) are a spatial basis for planning, forecasting and monitoring demographic and social developments in Berlin. They were uniformly coordinated between the planning departments of the Senate , the districts and the Office for Statistics Berlin-Brandenburg and determined on August 1, 2006 by Senate resolution.

task

The aim of defining LOR is to depict the everyday homogeneity of areas and at the same time to maintain the comparability of the planning space units. Criteria for their demarcation are, among other things, uniform building structures or milieu formation, important roads and traffic routes as well as natural barriers, but also a limitation of the respective population. Berlin has thus created improved analysis, prognosis and planning bases. B. for urban planning, health and social planning, youth welfare planning or playground planning are important.

The living-world-oriented rooms consist of three levels:

  • 448 planning rooms (PLR)
  • 138 district regions (BZR)
  • 060 forecast rooms (PRG)

use

LOR will u. a. used for monitoring social urban development and for drawing up the Berlin Housing Atlas. But they are also the basis for the small-scale representation of the population in the Berlin districts.
