The Ledder Werkstätten non-profit GmbH (short: Ledder Werkstätten, LeWe) is a social service provider for people of legal age with mental, psychological and / or severe and multiple disabilities with headquarters in Tecklenburg - Ledde .

The facility in Tecklenburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, had existed since May 1968, initially under the title “Protective Workshop” and from 1971 under the title “Workshop for the Disabled”. In 1972, the Ledder workshops offered mentally disabled people professional and social support for the first time. From 1980 the facility operated as a non-profit company. Partners are the Diakonisches Werk in the Tecklenburg church district and the Tecklenburg Evangelical church district. In 1982 the Federal Labor Office recognized the Ledder Werkstätten non-profit GmbH as a workshop for disabled people (WfbM).

Today, the Ledder workshops are the contact and service provider for people with disabilities and their relatives in the catchment area of ​​the old district of Tecklenburg in the Steinfurt district and the municipalities of Saerbeck and Greven. Currently, almost 1,300 people with disabilities are employed and resident in the production facilities and living areas in Tecklenburg-Ledde, Lengerich, Ibbenbüren, Saerbeck, Ladbergen, on three farms and in the various service offers as well as in various outdoor workplaces. The diaconal facility is present at around 40 locations and is therefore deliberately organized on a decentralized basis. This also includes the residential offers with currently a total of around 400 places. With around 500 employees and almost 1,300 employees, the Ledder workshops also represent a significant economic factor in the region and are by far the largest employer in the city of Tecklenburg.
