Lee Newman (music producer)
Lee Newman († August 4, 1995 in Amsterdam , Netherlands ) was a British music producer who was one of the pioneers of the European techno scene.
She mainly produced with her future husband Michael Wells under the project name Greater Than One (later only abbreviated as GTO ). In 1993 she and Wells moved from London to Amsterdam.
Two years later she was diagnosed with skin cancer, to which she succumbed after a short battle. She no longer saw the gold record for the technohead hit single I Wanna Be A Hippy .
