Blank recording

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A blank or native image in the narrower sense is an X-ray image ( projection radiography ) in radiology without prior application of a contrast agent .

In everyday language, this term is also used for the others in the radiology applied imaging methods used when the imaging is done without a contrast agent. Usually, blank exposures are made before contrast-enhanced exposures in order to then compare these images with one another.
