The Leica X1 is a digital compact camera from the German camera manufacturer Leica Camera AG . The retro- style camera has a lens with a fixed focal length of 24 millimeters at a light intensity of f / 2.8 and is equipped with an APS-C image sensor with 12.2 megapixels. The Leica X1 was the first compact camera to be included in the list of recommended digital cameras for photo submission by the American stock agency Getty Images .

Features and equipment

The camera, which was first introduced in September 2009, has a built-in Leica Elmarit lens with an effective focal length of 36 mm (35 mm image). The image is checked using a 2.7-inch monitor on the back of the camera. On the top of the Leica X1 there is a setting wheel for the exposure time and one for the aperture preselection, as well as the shutter release, a hot shoe and a flash that can be retracted into the camera housing ( guide number 5).

The exposure index of the digital image sensor can be set in a range from ISO 100 to ISO 3200 and achieves a resolution of 1132 line pairs per image height at ISO 1600 and 1310 at ISO 400. The shortest shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds, the longest 30 seconds . The signal-to-noise ratio is between 109.9 S / Nx at ISO 100 and 23.1 S / Nx with a manually set exposure time of 3200 ISO.

As optional accessories for the X1, Leica Camera AG offers a handle, a viewfinder for the hot shoe and an assortment of bags.
