Line zone
The line zone in road construction and civil engineering in Germany according to ZTVA-StB 97 understood the area of the support and the embedding of trench lines and cable duct systems in the width of the line trench up to 0.30 m above the top of the line. In the pipeline zone, the soil is to be laid in layers on both sides of the pipeline and carefully compacted. Lines may only be laid in pipes in roadways if several layers are laid one on top of the other.
The areas of the pipe zone that cannot be properly filled and compacted, for example gussets under cramped conditions, especially gussets under pipes, must be filled with concrete , lightweight concrete or a soil-binder mixture.
