Lelemi (ethnic group)

The Lelemi are an ethnic group in Ghana and Togo , also called Lefana , Lafana and Buem .

In 2003, 48,900 Lelemi lived in Ghana in the southeast near the border with Togo. The largest towns in the settlement area in Ghana are called Jasikan and Baglo, both of which are east of the Volta reservoir in front of the border with Togo.

About 5,300 Lelemi live in Togo. All Lelemi speak Lelemi as their main language.
