Lists on the subject

The Lembing Raja , also written Lembing Radja , is a spear of the Karo Batak from Sumatra in Indonesia .

description

The Lembing Raja has a double-edged, leaf-shaped blade with a central ridge. The blade has a widening shortly after the handle and then runs in an S-shape to the tip. It is attached to the shaft with the help of a grommet. A part of the spout is provided with ring-shaped decorations, one of which is worked into a perforated ball that is silver-plated .

The Lembing Raja is used exclusively by high-ranking dignitaries, which is where its name comes from (Indonesian: Lembing = spear, Raja = king).
