Leontopolis
Leontopolis ( Greek Λεόντων πόλις) was the name of several places in antiquity:
- City in Egypt with the Jewish temple of Onias, today Tell el-Yahudiya , 20 km north of Heliopolis
- Capital of the 11th sub-Egyptian district Leontopolites, today Tell el-Muqdam , 80 km northeast of Cairo
- Titular Archdiocese of Leontopolis in Augustamnica , titular archbishopric going back to a bishopric in this city
